Wedding Invitation Etiquette: The Basic Rules for the Perfect Introduction

The happy couple wanna hold a party for their marriage, and thus they address wedding invitation to their buddies, families and all the people they know. The First Rule: Spell it Out

Usually, a wedding invitation spells out most words instead of using the usual abbreviations for them. But there are several exceptions such as the titles of Mr., Mrs., Dr., etc. Commonly, those are used to address people in a formal way. Do not ever abbreviate names (including the middle name), and it will be better to fully omit it if you don’t wanna write out the full middle name. Also, you must spell out the date and time of the service in your wedding invitation in detail. So that with addresses, like "street" or "avenue".

The Second Rule: The Type Style

Font will be another wedding invitation etiquette you must know, because you should obtain the best one of lots of alternatives of fonts offered today. The wedding invitation phrasing will mostly use either a script or an engraved font in a black ink color. However, it is not an absolute rule, because several brides will choose to use a color that will coordinate with the overall shade of the wedding. Wanna try that way? The Third Rule: Package Assembling

The printed down wedding invitation will need a good assembling. You should assemble it to a perfect package. Anyway, it will be quite simple. The first step is placing the protective tissue over the front of your wedding invitation and place in the large envelope. Place the reception invitation, response card and any directions or map in that order on top of the protected invitation. Address the outer envelope by hand, like calligraphy. For a nice final touch, you can use decorative seal on the back of the a coordinating stamp and envelope.

Lastly, you need to mail the wedding invitation six to eight weeks prior to your big day. Doing the rules properly, there will be a great introduction you will give to everybody that will come to your perfect wedding celebration.
